Carolyn Marie (Lovejoy) Parfaite, 80, passed away peacefully at home on April 9 with her son by her side. Born in Salem on July 25, 1941, she was the first child of Everett D. and Ruth (Eyster) Lovejoy.
In addition to being a homemaker, mother and grandmother, over the years she had worked at the DanDee Pretzel and Potato Chip Company in Leetonia, for Richards Moving & Storage, and a manager of Sugar Tree Antiques. She enjoyed antiques and had often set up at Rogers Flea Market with her sister. She also enjoyed sewing and crafts until her fingers failed her, making numerous afghans, cross stitches and photo albums. Later in life she was happiest providing a warm and welcoming home and traditional holiday meals for family and friends.
She is survived by daughter Patrice Fife of Washington, Pa.; son Pierre Phillip (Pamela) Parfaite III of Salem; granddaughters Brianna and Brooke Parfaite; grandsons Austin and Dylan Fife; sister Judy Richards of Winona; brother Everett L. (Linda) Lovejoy of Harrison, Ark.; brother Thomas (Linda) Lovejoy of Houston, Texas; and one niece, six nephews and all of their spouses and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and former husbands Pierre Parfaite and Gerald Kliner, with whom she had reconnected later in life.
There will be no services per her request.
