Connie Sharer Obituary

Connie Lynn (Paynter) Sharer, 58, of Washingtonville, Ohio passed away at her home at 8:00 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Connie was born on May 31, 1962, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Franklin and Donna (Palmer) Paynter.

Connie attended high school in Bowie, Maryland, and graduated in 1980. She attended church at Columbiana First United Methodist Church in Columbiana. Connie and her husband, Kevin celebrated 17 years of marriage, having been married on February 16, 2003.

Connie was employed at the Marathon Gas Station in downtown Columbiana as a cashier and was a seasonal employee at Dillon Fruit Farm in Lisbon. Connie was a very creative person and had a talent for arts and crafts. Some that she enjoyed most were cross-stitching and crocheting. She spent many hours in her vegetable garden and looked forward to harvesting and canning the fruits of her labor. To say Connie loved to cook would be an understatement. She had a passion for cooking. While Connie enjoyed crafting, gardening, and cooking it was her desire to use these gifts to serve others that was truly her heartbeat. She crocheted hats for the homeless, volunteered at the Caring Hands Food Pantry, and was in charge of the kitchen at the Beaver Creek Sportsman Club in Washingtonville.

Connie was huge on family, not only her family but beyond. She had a heart that had no bounds and loved with every part of it. She will be missed, but the love and compassion she shared with others will remain forever.

Along with her husband, Connie is survived by her children; 4 daughters, Joleen (Autumn) Brightwell of Canfield, Holly (Scott) Greer of Tennessee, Megin Ashley of Pennsylvania, and Dallas Sharer of Cleveland, 2 sons; Donald (Lavra) Sharer of Delaware, Kevin (Melissa) Sharer of South Carolina, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by 3 sisters; Tina (Randi Rosensweig) Snee of Maryland, Darlene (Van) Engdahl of Virginia, Denise (Michael) Peterson of Struthers, 2 brothers; Sam (Elizabeth) Snee of Washington DC, and Steve (Angelia) Paynter of Austintown.

In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by a sister Sandra Snee who passed away in 2015.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering for the friends and family on November 28, 2020, from 2-7 Pm at the Beavercreek Sportsman Club in Washingtonville. Please come and join everyone as they pay tribute to an amazing lady.
