Daniel Evans Ford, 69, Christiansburg, Va., formerly of Salem, died at 10:14 AM Sunday, July 5, 2020, at his brother’s home in Beloit.
He was born on April 22, 1951, in Salem, the son of the late Arthur and Faith (Dell) Ford.
He was living in Christianburg,Virginia. Daniel enjoyed time spent woodworking and took his love into the work field as a self-employed carpenter. When he was not in the shop, he enjoyed golf and chess. He also enjoyed quality time with his friends and family. Dan will also be remembered for being a great debater.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Loretta (Duncan) Ford, whom he married on November 7, 2011, children; Angel Ford of Apple Creek, Dean (Caroline) Ford of Chrigrin Falls, Jassen Ford of Cincinnati, and Tanya (Chris) Allison of Kimbolton, siblings; David (Ida Belle) Ford of Salem, Grace Hofacker of Lisbon, Paul (Tanya) Ford of North Pole, Alaska, Nathan “Kimber” (Janet) Ford of Beloit, and Karen (Randy) Westmorland of Beloit, as well as 8 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by brother Bryce Ford and grandchild Choncie J. Ford Allison.
Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020, 7 PM at the Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church. Rev. Stanley Graybil and Dan Glick will be officiating. A time of visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 PM at the church. All visitors are encouraged to bring a mask and wear it, keep with social distancing.
