David D. Fowler Jr. 64, of Salem, died at 3:31 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in the emergency room of Mercy Health/St. Elizabeth Hospital-Youngstown, following an automobile accident in Green Township.
He was born in Salem, Oh., on February 2, 1958, the son of the late David and Mary (Woodcock) Fowler.
David was a lifetime area resident, was last employed at Freshmark in Salem and was a 1977 graduate of Salem High School. In his younger years, he was in musicals while in high school. He had numerous hobbies or interests over the years. He enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing. He helped with the Boy Scouts and little League with his children. He had a great interest in Big Foot and other Paranormal alien events. David always had interest in guns over the years. There was always a desire to go see a good movie or just sit back at home and watch the Three Stooges.
It was not uncommon to find him wrenching on cars. He could be a real character at family events and parties with his great sense of humor and jokes.
He is survived by his children; Chad D. Fowler, Zachary T. Fowler and Benjamin T. (Kimberly) Fowler all of Salem, siblings: Tammy Hartman, Michael (Tammy) Fowler and Mark (Peggy) Fowler all of Salem, and three grandchildren.
There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 5-7 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
