Donald “Don” David Wilson JR, 60, of Salem, passed away peacefully into Gods loving embrace with his loving family by his side on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from a brief illness.
He was born April 12, 1963, in Alliance, Ohio, son of the late Donald David Wilson SR and Kathryn Jean (Fuson) (fka Wilson) Gessel.
Don graduated from Shenendoah High School in Sarahsville, Ohio. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed going camping with his sons. Don loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and having a cold one with his best friend Doug, they both were very fond of using the phrase, “GIT R DONE”. Don treasured the time spent with his grandkids and listening to Georges Jones music.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Elizabeth (Crew) Wilson, his sons Lonnie “Aaron” (Stacy Elza) Wilson of Cleveland, Cody (Makinzey Gay) Wilson of Salem, and his stepson which he raised as his own, Donald (Ronnie) Findling of Salem, his stepchildren Tammy Jamieson of California, Suzanne Slaton of Salem, and Richard Moorehead of Louisiana, his siblings Kathy (Eric) Whitsell, Brian Wilson, and Lonnie (Teresa) Wilson, as well as 14 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings John Wilson and Robin Roberts, his step father Ray Gessel, and his nephew Lonnie Wilson JR. Don will be reunited with his beloved dog Suzie Q.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Circle Of Care Nursing Home for providing Don with comfort during this time and also thank you to Promedica Hospice Care for the wonderful care you gave him as well.
As per his wishes there will be no services.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with us forever. WE ALL LOVE AND MISS YOU, TILL WE MEET AGAIN.
