Guy J Mix

On January 8th, 2021, Guy J. Mix 43, of Columbiana, OH, passed away at St Elizabeth's Hospital Boardman Campus, due to Complications from Covid 19. 

Guy was born on July 4, 1978, in Biddeford Maine, to his late parents; Gary and Mary (Bronson) Mix. He began his young life with his two brothers; Rob and Heath. Guy's father; Gary was a country music show producer and organizer, which Mary helped promote and run part time, in addition to running her own Sandwich shop in Maine. Following his fathers passing in a car accident, Mary moved home to her native state of Vermont to be closer to her family, with the exception of time lived in Florida. All three boys grew up and would call Vermont their home for a larger portion of their lives. Guy moved to Ohio when his main care provider and brother Heath, moved to start a family with his girlfriend, Crystal Burkey.

From a young age Guy, as well as his two brothers, were raised in a music rich, albeit possession poor home. Guy’s deepest love was music and he was well known to randomly break into song just like his mother. Still, just like his father, he also loved being the center of attention. Guy was known for his love of life, and was the absolute embodiment of love. He did not have it in his heart to hate anyone or anything, and as a result he brought love, happiness, and resounding laughter everywhere he went. He was an angel on earth, as he most certainly is in heaven.

Guy enjoyed his family, and is happy to have had close relations with a multitude of close friends that, most likely, felt more like family than friends. He is survived by his brothers; Rob and Heath Mix, Jeff Kelly, Matt Greene, Clayton Kip, sisters; Madelyn Libby, Elizabeth Jones, Crystal Burkey, and Shannon Lefebve. Additionally, Guy had a multitude of nieces and nephews; Jasper Mix, Christopher Derosia, Coly Belanger, Mackennah, Kaileighy, Maddyson, Kaleb, Keegan, Kendyall Mix-Lefebvre, Nathaniel and Jarred Libby.

Along with his parents, Guy was preceded in death by Harlan Kip.

There will be no local services held. Services in Vermont will be announced at a later date.
