John M. "Johnny Mac" Clark 80, of Salem, died Thursday at his home.
He was born on August 26, 1940, in Ponca City, OK., the son of Robert and Maxine (Steele) Clark.
John moved to the area from out west and graduated from Columbiana High School. He then moved on to Ohio University to enrich his education. John spent many years working in the banking industry until his retirement.
He loved his family and looked forward to spending time with the grandchildren when he was able.
John enjoyed the hobbies of photography as well as recreational shooting. The one thing he enjoyed most was traveling around and attending auctions.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Joe) Congemi of Columbiana and David (Darlene) Clark of Elkins, W.Va., sister Grace Rees of Columbus, five grandchildren, Katelyn (Chad) Vollnogle of Columbiana, Erica Congemi of bend, OR., Sean (Mariah) Congemi of Columbiana and Jasper and Mason Clark both of Elkins, W.Va., and two great grandchildren, Cora and Winnie Vollnogle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his girl friend of 26 years, Nancy Mitchell.
There will be no services observed at this time.
