John Frank Kuder 81, of (Butler Twp./Winona) Salem (Salem/Lisbon KOA Campground), died on December 16, 2021, at his home at KOA.
He was born on August 20, 1940, in Schenectady, NY, the son of August and Dolly (Vitallo) Kuder.
John was the owner/operator of a Hair Salon in upstate New Your for 45 years. He later moved to this area and was co-owner with his wife, of Salem/Lisbon KOA campgrounds. They were both a very active part of the Salem area.
John also enjoyed fly fishing, free weight lifting, traveling, and going on cruises, lived a Mediterranean dietary lifestyle. He also served our country in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. A member of the Salem Amvets Post #45. They had attended a couple of churches in the area. They most recently were attended drive-in services at the Church at the Center in Salem.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. (Johnson) (fna Weikart) Kuder of 14 years, children: Denise Townsend, John (Diane) Kuder, stepchildren: Cole Weikart and Derek (Sarah) Weikart and his grandchildren, and his brother Robert (Beth) Kuder, sister-in-law Judy Kuder, and a huge KOA family that spans the entire United States.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother August Kuder.
A Celebration of Life and Tribute Service will be on Saturday, January 8, 2022, Promptly at 2 PM at the Salem Amvets (750 S. Broadway, Salem. Enter on the left side of the building) The Rev. Tim Ginter will be officiating along with Chap. Bob Tate. The Salem Honor Guard will render military honors at 2 pm followed by the services. A time of visitation will be held prior to the services and following to look through a display of memories with the family.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the John Darling Memorial Chapel, SLO KOA, 33807 Winona Road, Salem, Ohio 44460.
