John Wesley Morrison 77, of Salem, died at 4:04 AM Saturday, July 31, 2021, at his home.
He was born on September 26, 1943, at the family home in Sebring, son of Freeman and Evelyn (Jellison) Morrison.
He was a lifetime area resident and was a career truck driver for various companies over the years. The commercial truck companies were Roadway, Yellow Freight and delivered for J M Smuckers. He also served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963.
John will always be remembered being outside cutting the grass. He always enjoyed the outdoors and going for nice walks. There were many things that brought him joy over the years, the times the grandchildren visited were mighty special. He loved to follow NASCAR during the racing season. There was one big thing that he found hard to pass up, sweets. He had a sweet tooth up to the very end.
He is survived by the love of his life, Susan Renee (Tuel) Morrison, whom he married on June 12, 1976, his daughter Jennifer Hippely of Salem, grandchildren; Elizabeth Seaman, Brandon, Aubrie and Connor Hippely, great grandchildren; Charlotte and Benjamin Seaman, a brotherFreeman Daniel Morrison in Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Heather Morrison, and sisters Carol Hanson and Mary Ann Schrader.
There will be no public calling hours or services held. He will be buried in Grandview Cemetery, Sebring, Ohio.
