John Westerfeld of Austintown, Ohio passed away on August 12, at Mercy Health Care Center after a brief illness.
Born in Lakewood, OH, John is the son of the late John and Betty (Osterland) Westerfeld.
John married his wife, Linda Elaine (Barker), with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage prior to her death in 2017.
John was a skilled home improvement salesman and is the former owner and operator of JW Renovations. Until his passing John was still helping others make their home improvement dreams come true as a salesman for Quality Windows.
John was known for his love of the outdoors; hunting, fishing, boating, gardening, and his homemade “deer jerky”. He was involved with many different organizations over the years including the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3298, the East Ohio Conservation Club, and the New Middletown Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his Fiancé, Christana Carpenter of Niles, a son David D. Packard (Christie) of Austintown, and 3 grandsons: Branden J. Packard (Ra-an) of Austintown, Noah and Nicholas Packard both of Orlando, Florida.
Friends are invited to join with the family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at 2 PM at American Legion Hall Post 301, 3652 Oakwood Ave, Austintown, Ohio.
