Joshua Michael Courtney, 37, of East Palestine, died early Saturday morning on October 7, 2023, in his home.
He was born March 1, 1986, in Houston, Texas, son of Charles Richard Courtney JR, of Salem, and the late Mary Barnhart-Hawkins.
Josh was a machine adjuster at the manufacturing company Envelope 1, Inc of Columbiana. He had a love for art and drawing and enjoyed showing off his skills on his favorite artistic medium, skin. Tattooing wasn’t his only hobby, Josh also had a fondness for tinkering with various things and experimenting with machines and their parts. He liked being outdoors camping or visiting one of his favorite places, Nelson Ledges Quarry Park.
In addition to his father, Josh is survived by his son Isiah Mercer of Salem, his siblings Charles Richard Courtney III, Nate Quinton Courtney, and Heather Marie (Steve) Nelder all of Salem. He is also survived by his girlfriend Samantha Gerber and her mother Debbie Inman of East Palestine.
A time of visitation will be Saturday, October 14, 2023 2-4 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
