Judy Weiss Obituary

Judy Kay (Taucher) Weiss 58, of Rootstown (Formerly of the Leetonia area), died Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic.

She was born on November 14, 1965, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of Thelma (Howard) Taucher Corathers and the late Donald Taucher.

Judy was a very motivated person that was always there when someone needed something. She dedicated her life to helping others. A very positive personality, always saw the good in people. Who could ever say no to such a sweet person with those big blue eyes and that memorable laugh.

Judy enjoyed many things when she was not working. The biggest thing was to be with her grandson, Jackson, as much as possible, attending his games and spoiling him to pieces. She will be remembered for her “perfect, immaculate” looking home where everything had a place and purpose. Judy truly loved her home and it always showed, no matter where she lived in life. She always had her home perfectly decorated for every day and season. She had a real knack for decorating and making things look beautiful. She had a great love for shopping and will always be remembered for her thoughtful gifts she gave.

Judy enjoyed diving into paranormal phenomena, Bigfoot, scary movies, and having sleepovers with her daughters and grandson on the weekends. Judy loved her cats that were always by her side. She loved gardening and felt relaxed mowing the grass. Judy always loved collecting cute, meaningful bits and pieces, all which said a lot about the person she was.

Judy was a 1984 graduate of Leetonia High School, then went on and received her associate degree. She was a member of the Eastern Star.  She had served until May as a probation officer for Portage County for nearly 40 years.

In addition to her mother of Alliance, she is survived by her two daughters: Ashley Christani of N. Charleston, SC and Haley Christani of Mogadore, Ohio, grandson Jackson Buso, brothers: Rick Taucher of Salem and James Taucher of Alliance.

A Celebration of Life Services will be on Saturday, April 27, 2024, 1 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
