Kathryn Viola (Bartholomew) Moffett, 80, of Sebring, died at 7:45 PM on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Aultman /Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1943, at home in Diamond Twshp, Mahoning County, Ohio, daughter of the late Stanton and Kathryn (Force) Bartholomew.
Kathryn worked as a Pharmacy Tech at the Alliance Walmart for 15 years. She was an avid gardener, tended a beautiful cottage garden and cultivated wonderful produce. She and her family enjoyed camping and fishing at all of the local lakes. You might consider her a home body, she spent time sewing, reading, bird watching, and following a good program on the TV. She made good use of the telephone to keep up with family and friends. The timing of her phone calls may not have always been convenient. It was her way of showing her love and keeping up with everyone’s busy lives.
She is survived by her children; Ronald Douglas (Shelly) Moffett of Dade City, Fla., Roberta Ann“Bobbi” (Chris Allcorn) Readshaw of Salem, Elizabeth Laverne “Betsy” (Oscar Ariel) Budde’ of Orchard Park, NY. and Michelle Jean Arnold of East Canton, her grandchildren; Craig Readshaw, Tricia Ann Readshaw-Watson, Kathryn Budde’-Hezel, Eliot Budde’, Owen Gabriel Budde’ and Stacie Arnold-Ciminelli, and her great grandchildren; Jayden Watson, Molly Watson, Chloe Ciminelli, R.J. Ciminelli, Alex Hezel, and Jayden Cessna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on January 12, 2018, by her husband of almost 60 years, (whom she married on October 3, 1959 at the Friends Church in Deerfield, Ohio,) Ronald Ralph Moffett and all her siblings; Marie Westover, Robert and Arthur Bartholomew.
A Celebration of life service will be Friday, October 6, 2023 at 2PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services in Salem. The Rev. Kari Lankford will be officiating. A time of visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
