Loren Charles Deeter, 73, of Fairfield Twp., Leetonia, OH, passed away at 1:43 p. m., on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Loren was born on August 23, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, to his parent’s; the late Harold and Blanche (Hahn) Deeter.
He married his beautiful bride; Sandra L. (Jackson) Deeter, on November 18, 1972, sharing 48 years of building a wonderful life and home together.
Loren was a mechanic in general. If something went wrong, he could figure it out. In his early years, he was a truck driver and then went back to driving later in life. He studied in the Akron area for being an Aviation Mechanic. His career continued until he moved on to US Air. When 9/11 happened, his career with the airlines was brought to an abrupt end and he retired. As the years went on, it allowed him to explore numerous hobbies he enjoyed. His skill at woodworking was far beyond the average. Loren's mechanical thinking mind made it easier for him to problem solve and fix things. If you would stop by unannounced, you may find him out painting, roofing, or in general, puttering around. The family will always remember that he was very meticulous in what he did.
The fun times and gatherings that were had around the house, with Loren cooking on the grill and other fresh-made bake good to snack on will always be remembered. I am sure that those that were close will miss his desire to help others out.
Along with his wife, Loren is survived by his children; Cynthia Deeter of Oklahoma, Adam Deeter of Salem, Jessica Deeter of Leetonia, siblings; Lynn Deeter of Guilford Lake, Verda (Robert) McGraw of Frazeysburg and, Arlyce (Tom Svoboda) Deeter of Sandy Lake (Ravenna).
A time a visitation will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 1:30 – 2:30 p. m. at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services of Salem, OH, with services following at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. Kenny Stull of the Mt. Calvary Community Church will be officiating. The family has chosen to have a private burial.
