Louise Emma (Sefner) Grande, 84 of Salem, Ohio passed away at 2:53 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
She was born on March 27, 1937 in Youngstown to her parents the late George and Emma (Delp) Sefner.
Louise was a graduate of Canfield High School. She was previously employed at Hills Department Store in the Youngstown area. Later she became an owner of an antique store outside of Columbiana, Ohio. Louise married her husband; Louis Grande on December 29, 1956 and together spent 64 years making a wonderful life together. Among many of the things she enjoyed were her flowers...as long as her husband planted them, which he was happy to do for her. Louise enjoyed playing a variety of card games such as Canasta, Michigan Rummy, and a game that was taught to her by and she played with her grandchildren, called Garbage. On a more risky level, she looked forward to hitting the casino and taking her chances with the “one armed bandit” or more commonly known as playing the slots. In past years Bingo was her game of choice. Louise always looked forward to family time. Whether she was playing games with the grandkids or having a cookout with the entire family, these were the times she treasured most.
In addition to her husband, Louise is survived by her daughter; Toni Toth of Salem, Ohio, 2 sons; Joseph (Janet) Grande of Pataskala, Ohio, and Louis Steven Grande of Florida, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and a sister; Georgetta Tipper of Hubbard, Ohio.
