Marilyn Zeppernick Obituary

Marilyn Jane (Smith)(fka Turney) Zeppernick, 75, of Salem, passed on at 8:30 AM, September 21, 2022, at Altercare of Alliance.

She was born December 29, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Smith and Vivian (Ward)(fka Smith) Bezeredi.

Marilyn was a 1964 graduate of Salem Senior High School. She worked as a waitress at Votaw’s Restaurant in Salem and later on worked at Highlander Laundromat. Marilyn was a fan of sports. She liked golf, one of her favorites to watch was Tiger Woods. She also cheered for the Cleveland Indians and was a huge Buckeyes fan. Although she wasn’t always clear on the many rules of football she would freely give her advice on plays and let her opinion be known that the ball was given to the wrong player. Marilyn especially enjoyed figure skating, seeing the fancy outfits and graceful athletes twirling and dancing all over the ice to music delighted her. Sunday was family day and one of her favorite things to do was play cards. Uno, Phase 10, Rummy, Solitaire, or Canasta it didn’t matter what type of game, she treasured the time she spent with her loved ones.

She is survived by her son Ron Turney JR of Alliance, and half brothers; Tom Bezeredi, Mike Bezeredi, and Walt Bezeredi, as well as her beloved grandchildren; Jacob and Olivia Turney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father Joseph Bezeredi and a half brother Ronald Lee Bezeredi.

Per Marilyn’s wishes there will be no services.
