Obituary
Mary Catherine (Reid) Taylor, 82, of Salem, died at 8:55 AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born on April 22, 1941, in North Versailles, PA, daughter of Harry and Rella Mae (Leap) Reid.
Growing up, Mary lived in Sharon, PA, where she was baptized Catholic. She was a homemaker and took loving care of her family. In the early 80’s she came to permanently reside in Salem, where she opened her home to Kay Ann Goodman and was her caregiver until her passing in 2015. Mary worked as a security guard in a local factory in Salem, but her dogs and cat were her life. She enjoyed being on her computer, playing games and communicating with all of her loved ones.
She is survived by her daughters; Catherine (Tom) Culver of Youngstown, OH, Linda (Ron) Guerrieri of Toms River, NJ, Nancy Barretta of Warren, OH, Diana Wrights of Port Orange, FL, Tina Johnson of Sharon, PA, Joanna Ayres of Warren, OH, and Patty (Rob) Maley of Salem, OH, as well as 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
