Miriam Louise (Ullman) McCain 84, of Columbiana, died Wednesday morning, June 1, 2022, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Miriam Louise (Ullman) McCain -

A wife, a mother, a grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love and how to fight. You gave us strength, you gave us might.  A stronger person would be hard to find, and in your heart, you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another not just as a wife, not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best and now the time has come for you to rest.  So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep, your love in our hearts we all eternally keep.

It is with great sadness to inform all that Miriam has passed on and is now with the Lord in heaven as of June 1, 2022, while her family and husband Edward were at her side.

Miriam Louise was born August 23,1937, in Marietta, Ohio, the daughter of Rev. Thurman and Marguerite (Schoonover) Ullman and sister to Francis and Cathy.

Miriam grew up in Ohio before moving west to Arizona in 1962. She and her husband Ed soon moved to Alaska in 1978. They continued together to raise their children. They enjoyed the outdoors and all that Alaska had to offer. Miriam often went fishing with her family, enjoyed going out camping and spending time traveling with her Hubby Ed throughout the state. It was upon their retirement that they moved to Columbiana. They were active in the Lisbon Baptist Temple where she had the “voice of an angel” that could be heard throughout the church and the choir for many years.

Miriam was a mother to Aneda, Timothy, Michele and Brenda Lou. She later also welcomed two more boys, Bradley and Preston. Miriam and Edward over the years have welcomed to the family their grandchildren: Timothy Brett, Chrystal, Michael, Jennifer, William, Katie, Alisha, Tyler, Trevor, Leilani, Shawn, Diane, Ivory, Shane, and Breanna as well as great grandchildren: Alena, Heidi, Emily, Zane, Zellah, Zariah, Ava, Jace, Karter, Lincoln, Reece, Braiden and Kay, and great great grandsos: Zaiden and Ezra.

Miriam is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward Preston McCain along with her five children, sister Cathy, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandsons, all whom she prayed over on a daily basis and loved so very much!

Hold your family close and take care of your loved ones and Praise God for all his good graces.

 Miriam is preceded in death by her parents, brother Francis, youngest son Preston Shane, grandchildren: Jennifer, Michael, and Timothy Brett and great grand daughter Ava.

The family has asked that all donations and floral arrangements be sent to Edward McCain, 8 Beechwood Drive, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.

There will be no services held. Arrangements by the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
