Nancy (Edwards) Milhoan

Nancy Ann (Edwards) Milhoan, 86, of Salem, passed away in her home on Saturday, October 14, 2023, surrounded by family.

She was born December 16, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Eddie and Bernice (Cashbaugh) Edwards.

Nancy grew up in Salem, working at Peoples Drug and then at the former Convalescent Center as a nurses aid. She was a laid back sweet person and an outstanding mother, she taught her children by her own example. Over the years she and her husband enjoyed traveling together to various places, and if you were close with Nancy and Bill, you knew they definitely had a very unique way of expressing their love and getting along at times. Her hobbies included going shopping and visiting craft stores, taking care of her indoor plants, reading novels, crocheting, and watching her soaps. Nancy had a great love for all babies and especially treasured spending time with her grand babies.

She is survived by her children William L. Milhoan of Salem, James Edward (Raquel) Milhoan of Lake Forrest, CA, and Connie Lynn Milhoan of Salem, her siblings Sally Alleman of NC, Ruth (Robert) Goodlin of AL, Judy Williams of AL, Carol Brown of IN, and Audrey Edwards of OK, as well as 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death on November 4, 2018, by her husband William Loren Milhoan SR, whom she married on June 25, 1955, her children Nancy “Penny” Lee Klineman and Susan Marie Potts, her siblings Florence Reardon, Eddie Edwards, Mary Fish, and Viola Edwards, and two grandchildren.
