Nicola "Nick" Grande

Nicola “Nick” Grande, 73, of Salem, died at 3:56 AM Tuesday morning, January 24, 2023, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 7, 1949 in Monteleone Di Puglia, Italy, son of the late Roccoantonio and Marianna Grande.

Nick was born in Italy and came to the United States. He attended college and obtained his degree in computer programming, and continued to work in the programming field up until presently. Nick was a member of Salem St Paul’s Catholic Church and was the current treasurer and member of the Knights of Columbus 1818. He was a die hard Cavs fan and he never missed watching a game. Nick enjoyed gardening and genealogy.

He is survived by his children; Nicola Grande JR of Columbus, Michael Grande of Canfield, and Anne Grande of Salem, his siblings; Giuseppe Grande, Maria Vittoria (Alfonso) Matteucci, Pompea Tomasiello, and Antonietta (Michele) Martuccio, as well as 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and his sincere friend Karen Tanner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2010 by his wife Shirley Ann (Ball) Grande, whom he married July 3, 1971.

Services will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 11 AM at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem with Msgr Fr. Peter Polando of the church officiating. There will be a K of C service held at 10:40 AM. A time of visitation will be 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Committal service will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
