Patricia Knauf Obituary

Patricia Ann (Wisler) Knauf, age 78, of Greenford, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2022.

She was born March 23, 1943, in Salem, to her late parents; Clark and Norma (Doyle) Wisler.

Patti was a lifelong resident of Greenford. She attended Greenford High School and was a proud Bobcat. It was here where she met her sweetheart and the love of her life; Dean Knauf. They married on August 18, 1959 and from there shared 62 years together building their lives, raising their family, and watching it grow. She dedicated years doing what she loved by working as a beautician. Patti was a quiet, but passionate person. She put her whole heart into whatever she was doing. One of her greatest passions was her flower gardens. She worked tirelessly in her gardens, pouring over them and tending to them with love and care. The results were more than spectacular and a beauty to behold. Patti had a soft spot in her heart for her animal friends, as well.  If you were an animal lucky enough to find yourself in Patti’s care, you knew life would be grand. Being born and raised in Greenford, Patti was a big supporter of all that happened in the community. She was a proud lifelong member of the Greenford Christian Church and loved volunteering at The Big Reach Center of Hope and had a hard time controlling herself when it came to buying toys at Christmas time. Patti had such a beautiful spirit-it was easy to see God’s love working in and through her life. She loved all things that had to do with the Canfield Fair and 4-H, especially if her children or grandchildren were involved. Patti loved to plan and host parties and reveled in any and every holiday.  From Christmas to Halloween, Valentine’s Day to Easter, and every ordinary day in between, Patti made sure that they were days to be remembered and days to be treasured. Patti lived her life for those she loved; her precious husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and if truth be told...these were the most beautiful flowers in her garden.

She is survived by her loving family: her beloved husband; Dean Knauf, her children; Brenda (Tom) Oliver of North Lima, Damon Knauf, of Greenford, five grandchildren; Courtney (Chris) Smith, Julianne (Jomont) Ware, Brittany (Will) Eudy, Hannah Knauf, and Hunter Knauf, eight great-grandchildren; Haley and Kylie Smith, Adrianna, Gabriella, and Antonio Ware, Caroline, Oliver, and Thomas Eudy.

In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her brother; Clark Wisler Jr.

Services will be at 1 pm., on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Greenford Christian Church with Minister; John Bush officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am -1:00 pm. Burial will take place following the service in Green Twp (Christian Church Cemetery).

Care was entrusted to the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services of Salem, OH.
