Richard Joseph Kiehl, 43, of Salem, OH, passed away at his home at 1:12 p. m., on Monday, July 26, 2021.
He was born on October 6, 1977, in Salem, OH, to his mother; Eva M. (Judy) Price of Salem.
Richard is a 1996 graduate of David Anderson High School in Lisbon, OH. Following graduation he attended New Castle School of Trades in New Castle, PA and received his certification as an Electrician. He moved to Texas, near Dallas, and worked as an Electrician for Brim Industries; a manufacturer of industrial washers and dryers, before returning to his hometown of Salem.
Richard enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found fishing, shooting his guns, or running his remote controlled cars. If he could not be outside, then playing video games or building models of any kind was a favorite hobby. Richard liked to build models of all kinds, but the that which he liked to build the most were Pirate ships.
Along with his mother; David is survived by his adoptive father; William Kiehl of Lisbon, OH, step-father; Norman Price Jr. of Salem, children; Caitlyn (Aaron) Stepp of TX, Dustin Kiehl of SC who serves in the United States Navy; 4 grandchildren, and his sister; Melinda (Troy) Vuletic of Calcutta, OH.
