Obituary

Richard Edward Vaughn JR, 58, of East Palestine, died at 3:21 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Mercy Health/St Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.


He was born November 29, 1964, in Salem, son of the late Richard Edward and Virginia (Wylie) Vaughn SR.


Richard was a 1983 graduate of East Palestine High School. He was a truck driver for close to 20 years working for BT Express in North Lima, PGT Trucking and also their affiliates until retiring in 2008. He was a dog lover and enjoyed spending time with his family. Richard was into cars and got great enjoyment from going to car shows, visiting the Quaker City Racetrack, and coming to Salem for the annual Super Cruise. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.


He is survived by his wife Tina (Dilling) Vaughn of Leetonia, his daughter Danielle Vaughn of Warren, PA, and grandchildren.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by both of his sisters Melody Grubbs and Barbara Burson.


Visitation is Saturday 1-3 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
