Sharon A. Armstrong, 74, of Salem, went home peacefully, knowing that she was and always will be loved, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, after a long illness.
She was born November 16, 1948, in Cleveland, daughter of the late Mathias W. and Patricia A. (Giblin) Croninger.
Sharon graduated in 1966 from Parma Senior High School in Parma, Ohio. She moved to Salem in the early 70’s after the birth of her first child, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was a stay-at-home mother until her youngest child was in elementary school. She then began working at the old Salem China and made several lifelong friends. After that Sharon was employed at Mustang products in Damascus, and ultimately retired from Coastal Pet Products in the early 2000’s.
Her greatest love in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Sharon enjoyed gong to craft shows and tagging along on shopping expeditions with her kids. She was a pleasure to be around and had a knack for making everyone laugh.
She is survived by her children Kelly (Craig) Frank of Alliance and Eric Armstrong of Salem, her brother Robert Croninger of Colorado, a grandson Jacob (Ciera) Armstrong of Salem, and two great granddaughters.
There are no services, per Sharon’s request. The family plans to have a small celebration of life at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either a hospice of your choice or a cancer charity, as she knew several people who fought that battle.
