Stephen Fred Klaas, 66, of Knox Twp, Beloit, OH, passed away at 8:58 a. m., on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at his home.
He was born on September 12, 1954, in Alliance, OH, the son of his late parents; Robert and Delores (Burroughs) Klaas. Stephen was a 1972 graduate of West Branch High School. He was a Superintendent for a Commercial Contractor. Stephen married his wife; the former Joanne Bycraft on April 15, 2006. Together they spent 15 years building their life together. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, or doing anything that enabled him to spend time up on a mountain and to be able to take in the majestic view of the world around him. He had a fondness for race cars and especially enjoyed spending time at the drag strip racing his Camero. But, truly deep down, Stephen was a home body and spending time with his family was what he cherished most.
In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his children; Jason Klaas of Youngstown, Jeremiah Klaas of Divide, CO, Jeannette (Jason) Scranton of Peninsula, OH, Angela (Dustin) Linder, Samantha Poteet, both from Alliance, OH, Ryan Bandy of Beloit, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild.
Along with his parents, Stephen is preceded in death by a grandchild and his sister; Roberta Klaas.
There will be no services. Stephen will be laid to rest in Alliance City Cemetery.
