Suzanne (Calhoun) Chambers

Suzanne (Calhoun) Chambers, 80, of Hanoverton, died at 3:55 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at St. Elizabeth/Mercy Health of Boardman.

She was born December 13, 1942, in Connellsville, PA, daughter of the late William Scott and Margaret (Miller) Calhoun.

Suzanne graduated high school and went on to complete training in beauty school and become an LPN. She took good care of her home and loved to go shopping and visit auctions. Suzanne was a devout Evangelist’s wife and a true prayer warrior, attending 250+ revivals led by her husband. A member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ. Church was her passion, she taught classes and was a woman’s group speaker, she loved spending time in prayer and worshiping the Lord. Suzanne delighted in spending time with her grandchildren often playing board games, Scrabble was everyone’s favorite. She enjoyed making use of the Salem Community Center and loved to write and keep in contact with people with letters.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Richard “Dick” Chambers, whom she married June 24, 1960, her children; Dian Tempest of Hanoverton, Suzette and Shannon Chambers are both from the state of Delaware, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held on August 5, 2023, 1 PM at the Lake Mount Church of Christ, 6290 St Rt 7 New Waterford, Ohio 44445. Evangelist Jason Cole will be officiating. A time of visitation will from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Church.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
